Frequently Asked Questions
What are your rates?
I generally work within the standard industry rates for the US.
However, I customize the quote for each project. I’m also able to offer discounts for larger volumes (bulk rates) when applicable.
The more details you provide about the project (such as usage, duration, etc.), the more precise and tailored the quote I can give you.
Several factors influence the quote for each project:
Project Type
What is the nature of the project? For example, is it a broadcast commercial, corporate narration, explainer video, telephony (IVR or hold message), eLearning, medical narration, etc.?Length
How long will the final product be? Length can be measured in various ways—by time, word count, or page count—depending on the project type.Usage
Where and how will the voiceover be used? This could include broadcast (TV/radio, specific markets, market size), web (website, paid ads, social media, YouTube, etc.), or internal corporate purposes. If I don’t know how the product will be used, I won’t be able to give an accurate quote. For more details on usage, click here.Duration
How long will the voiceover be in use? For example, will it be used for 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year?Budget
Ideally, you’ve already considered a fair and reasonable budget based on market rates. If not, I can provide industry-standard guidelines to help you understand what rates are typical for this type of project.
What is your revision policy?
Retakes and Revisions Policy
Retakes (My Mistakes): If I make an error, I will redo the recording at no additional cost.
Revisions (Changes after Recording):
Minor Revisions (1–2 words): $50
Major Revisions (more than 2 words): $100 minimum
Re-Reads: If the revision involves more than 30% of the original script, the charge will be at the original rate.
Performance Retakes (Undirected Sessions):
For sessions where I record the files independently and send them to you, I offer one round of performance retakes at no cost. Please provide clear direction and feedback for any performance changes upfront. After the first round, additional retakes will be charged as Revisions (see above).Pronunciation Adjustments:
If retakes are needed for pronunciation preferences not specified by a pronunciation guide or in writing, these will be treated as Revisions and will incur charges.
Example differences: “ee-ther” vs. “eye-ther,” “off-ten” vs. “off-en,” “oh” vs. “zero.”How to Submit Change Requests:
When requesting a change, please:Highlight the relevant lines in the original script or provide the full sentence that needs re-recording, along with the sentence before and after for context.
If applicable, include the video time index to help me match the tone and pacing.
Submission Deadline:
Please submit all change requests within 30 days of receiving the original recording. After 30 days, any changes will be charged at the original rates.
